Magnified Voice
Posted on Jan 26
One of the most important things I do is use my voice -- blogs on this site, MTV.no, social networking sites, and my social awareness columns.
Both InkedMag.com and AMPMagazine.com got redesigned this past month. For Inked, my old columns are slowly being re-added, and new columns will be posting every two weeks. You can find some of my video 'Inked For A Cause' interviews here. Starting 2/5, my interviews and blogs will appear in the NEW AMP Digital edition. Special thanks to these great sites for reposting my work: SocialVibe's 'The Vibe' blog International Campaign for Tibet Shambhala Sun |

Built on Respect is an Echoing Green SemiFinalist!
Posted on Jan 12
WOW! While in India, I submitted an application for a grant from Echoing Green. I just heard today that Built on Respect is a SemiFinalist!
Here is an overview on Echoing Green: Social entrepreneurship is the work of social entrepreneurs. We believe that social entrepreneurs are those exceptional individuals who dream up and take responsibility for an innovative and untested idea for positive social change, and usher that idea from dream to reality. What enables social entrepreneurs to make lasting impact on the most difficult problems is a special combination of groundbreaking creativity and steadfast execution. Echoing Green’s portfolio of social entrepreneurs attacks the root causes of critical social problems with unparalleled rigor. As the field of social entrepreneurship has grown, new funding streams have developed to support social entrepreneurs on their pathways to change. Organizations like Skoll Foundation, Ashoka, Schwab Foundation, and Draper Richards Foundation now provide first-stage and mezzanine-level funding. Echoing Green remains committed to very early stage support of new and untested ideas in the hands of visionary social entrepreneurs. Learn more here! |
